By accessing or using Dogsy.ie, you agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions. These rules are designed to ensure safe and lawful use of the platform for buyers, sellers, and administrators. Failure to comply may result in account suspension or permanent removal.

2. Platform Role

Dogsy.ie acts solely as a classified ads platform and is not a party to any transaction between buyers and sellers.

We do not guarantee the quality, origin, health, or legality of any dog listed.

Buyers must verify all documents, microchip details, and seller compliance before purchase.

Sellers remain fully responsible for the accuracy and legality of their advertisements.
3. Advertisement Rules
All ads must comply with Irish law and platform rules:

Puppies must be minimum 7 weeks old in ads, and cannot leave the breeder before 8 weeks.

Each puppy must be microchipped and registered in one of the approved Irish databases (Animark, Fido, IKC, Microdogid).

Microchip numbers must be valid, 15 digits, and verifiable on EuroPetNet.org.

Ads with cropped ears, docked tails, or pregnant/nursing bitches are prohibited (unless with legal vet proof).

Stud dogs must be 12+ months old.

Ads must reflect real, accurate photos and information.
Important: All ads are manually reviewed by Dogsy.ie before publication. However, approval does not guarantee legal compliance – buyers must verify documents in person.
4. Seller Requirements

Private Seller: Selling fewer than 6 dogs/year – no license needed.

Registered Seller: 6+ dogs/year → must be registered with the Department of Agriculture.

5. Microchipping & Legal Compliance

By law, all dogs over 12 weeks must be microchipped and registered.

Imported dogs must be registered on an Irish database within 21 days.

Home microchipping is illegal unless performed by a vet, nurse, or certified implanter.

Buyers are responsible for checking that the microchip in the ad matches the paperwork at the time of purchase.
6. Fees & Payments

All advertisement fees are non-refundable, even if the ad is removed for breaching rules.

Payments cover listing services only and do not guarantee sale.

Dogsy.ie does not mediate disputes or offer buyer protection.
7. User Responsibilities
Users agree to:

Provide accurate, truthful information in ads.

Ensure compliance with Irish and EU animal welfare regulations.

Not engage in fraudulent, abusive, or misleading practices.

Verify animals and sellers before completing any transaction.
8. Platform Rights
Dogsy.ie reserves the right to:

Remove or edit any ad that breaches rules or laws.

Suspend accounts suspected of illegal or harmful activity.

Report suspicious sellers to relevant authorities (Department of Agriculture, Revenue, Gardaí).
9. Liability Disclaimer

Dogsy.ie is not responsible for the health, quality, or legality of dogs listed.

Dogsy.ie is not liable for financial losses, scams, disputes, or damages arising from use of the platform.

Responsibility for verifying microchips, documents, and seller credentials lies entirely with the buyer.
10. Dispute Resolution

Buyers and sellers should attempt to resolve disputes directly.

If unresolved, disputes must be handled via mediation or legal action under Irish law.

Dogsy.ie may cooperate with authorities in investigations.
11. Amendments
Dogsy.ie may amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. Continued use of the platform signifies agreement to updated terms.
