1. General Provisions
These terms and conditions are intended to ensure the fair and safe use of the platform for all participants, including sellers, buyers, and Dogsy.ie administration. Non-compliance with these requirements may result in restricted or revoked access to the website.
2. Purchase of Dogs or Dog-related Services
Any transaction between a buyer and a seller is the sole responsibility of the parties involved. Dogsy.ie is not a party to these transactions and does not act as an intermediary.
- We do not advertise or guarantee the quality, origin, or health condition of any dog or service. We recommend buyers conduct thorough checks on the seller and the animal before purchasing.
- All dogs for sale must be microchipped and registered in accordance with applicable laws.
- Puppy buyers are strongly advised to meet with the breeder in person, verify the animal’s pedigree documents, and ensure that all legal requirements are met.
3. Platform Usage Terms
- All users must provide accurate information about themselves and their advertisements.
- Only one user account is allowed per person.
- To use the platform, an active email address and a verified Irish or UK mobile phone number are required.
Additional Requirements:
- Private seller: If you sell fewer than 6 dogs per year, you are not subject to additional regulations.
- Registered animal seller: If you sell 6 or more dogs per year, you must be registered in accordance with the Irish Department of Agriculture’s regulations.
- Breeding establishment: If you have 6 or more breeding females, you must obtain a local authority license.
4. Advertisement Rules
- All advertisements must be accurate and reflect the real situation. Photos must be genuine, and the information must be precise.
- Dogsy.ie only lists dogs located in Ireland.
- The minimum age of a puppy in an advertisement must be 7 weeks, but it may only go to its new home after reaching 8 weeks of age.
- The correct microchip number, which can be verified in the relevant databases, must be provided.
Prohibited Ads:
- Advertising dogs with cropped ears.
- Advertising dogs with docked tails or removed dewclaws unless supported by a veterinary certificate confirming the procedure was performed legally.
- Advertising pregnant or nursing bitches.
- Males for stud must be at least 12 months old.
Dogsy.ie reserves the right to edit, reject, or remove advertisements that do not comply with these rules.
5. Intellectual Property and Content Usage
- It is prohibited to copy, distribute, or otherwise use the content of the Dogsy.ie website without written permission.
- Dogsy.ie may remove any content that violates our rules or Irish law.
6. Data Protection and Privacy Policy
- Dogsy.ie collects and stores user information in compliance with GDPR requirements.
- Users have the right to request access to, correction, or deletion of their personal data by contacting support@dogsy.ie.
- Browser data and IP addresses may be used for security and analytical purposes.
- By uploading content to Dogsy.ie, you grant us the right to display, distribute, and use it for marketing purposes.
7. User Responsibilities
Users agree to:
- Use the platform in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Not post or share any content that is illegal, harmful, abusive, offensive, discriminatory, or violates any rights of others, including intellectual property rights.
- Not engage in fraudulent activities, such as misrepresenting the information about the dogs or services being offered.
- Ensure that any transactions or exchanges conducted through Dogsy.ie are safe, legal, and comply with all applicable local laws.
8. Limitation of Liability
Dogsy.ie is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of the platform or transactions between users, including but not limited to:
- Loss of data, revenue, or profits.
- Errors or inaccuracies in the information provided by users or third parties.
- Issues related to the health or behavior of the dogs or the quality of services provided by sellers.
9. Termination of Access
Dogsy.ie reserves the right to suspend or terminate a user’s access to the platform at any time, without notice, for any breach of these Terms and Conditions or if Dogsy.ie believes the user’s actions are harmful to the platform or other users.
10. Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute between a buyer and a seller, Dogsy.ie encourages users to resolve the issue directly. If the issue cannot be resolved through direct communication, the parties may choose to resolve the matter through mediation or legal action in accordance with Irish law.
11. Amendments to Terms and Conditions
Dogsy.ie reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be communicated through the platform or via email. Continued use of the platform after such amendments signifies acceptance of the new terms.
12. Force Majeure
Dogsy.ie shall not be held responsible for failure or delay in performing any of its obligations due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government restrictions, pandemics, or other unforeseeable events.
